Upgrading wall inlets
In order for Allaway’s handle-activated cleaning equipment sets to function in older systems, you need to replace the cover assemblies with newer Classic covers. When replacing a cover, it is recommended that you also replace the cover’s frame (installed flush against the wall or a raised frame).
Classic covers are also suitable replacements for old wooden covers. You do not have to replace your central vacuum cleaner with a new one to use the handle-mounted start switch.
Upgrading cleaning equipment with a handle-mounted start switch
A handle-mounted start switch allows you to turn the central vacuum cleaner on and off by pressing the button on the handle. You can also always turn on the central vacuum cleaner by lifting the cover of the wall inlet. These functions operate in parallel.
